The Film Independent Imaginar Producers Residency is a new program created to support Latinx Producers made possible by The Walt Disney Company and Searchlight Pictures in collaboration with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP). The Residency will support three Latinx Producers during a nine-month period starting in early 2023.

Each Fellow will receive a $50,000 grant for the year, to financially assist the continued development of their projects. Throughout the year, Fellows will receive mentorship and feedback from seasoned industry professionals and access to creative working facilities. In addition to project-specific support, the producers will gain access and guidance that will not just foster their projects, but further their professional careers.

Producers must apply with a slate of two to three projects. One of those projects must be a live-action feature film. The other(s) can include one episodic series or one non-fiction feature film project.

At the end of the submission form, you will be asked for your payment information.

Please be advised: the application may time out if you keep it open for a long time. It is recommended that you keep a backup of your answers in a separate document. Save early and often. You can verify that your application has saved by logging out and logging back in.

Applicants will be notified 2-3 weeks before the start of the program. If you don't receive a notification, please check your spam folder.
